Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for transportation, water resources, and structural projects
- Develop detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with TxDOT and city regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct site inspections
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental specialists)
- Prepare technical specifications and permit documentation
- Implement sustainable design practices and LEED principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred)
- PE license required with 8+ years of progressive experience
- Expertise in transportation infrastructure and hydraulic modeling
- Proficiency in BIM software and GIS applications
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ projects
- Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) certification
- Strong leadership and client management abilities
- Familiarity with local Austin development codes
