Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams for large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Develop detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM modeling software
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards (IDOT, FHWA)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design quality reviews
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with complex infrastructure project delivery
- Strong understanding of Illinois construction codes and permitting processes
- Exceptional problem-solving and client communication skills
- LEED AP certification preferred
