Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (transportation, water resources, structural)
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (SAP2000, ETABS)
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental consultants, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with ICC, AASHTO, and local Chicago building codes
- Develop cost-effective solutions while maintaining design integrity
- Mentor junior engineers through technical reviews and training
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in structural or transportation engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM 360
- Demonstrated expertise in bridge design and seismic retrofitting
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Experience with LEED and sustainable design principles
