Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with local and federal regulations
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments for urban development projects
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental consultants, government agencies)
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews of technical documentation
- Develop sustainable design solutions meeting LEED and ASCE standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in BIM/CIM modeling and construction documentation
- Strong knowledge of Illinois DOT and municipal permitting processes
- Proven track record of delivering projects on budget and ahead of schedule
- Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers and coordinating subcontractors
- Familiarity with ADA compliance and accessibility standards
