Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for complex engineering challenges
- Manage project lifecycles from concept through completion ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate with stakeholders including municipal agencies, contractors, and environmental specialists
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using advanced CAD/BIM tools
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation
- Implement sustainable design practices and emerging technologies like smart infrastructure systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated experience with transportation or water resources projects
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards, FEMA regulations, and ADA compliance
- Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
