Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, water systems, and urban developments
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new projects
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews of technical deliverables
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in civil engineering software and BIM modeling tools
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale transportation or water resource projects
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT and city of Austin permitting processes
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
