Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of detailed reservoir simulation models (Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG) to forecast production performance and optimize field development plans.
  • Analyze pressure transient data, fluid properties, and rock mechanics to enhance well productivity and identify infill drilling opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with drilling, facilities, and geoscience teams to ensure integrated reservoir management strategies.
  • Prepare and present high-level technical reports, budgets, and investment recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct reservoir surveillance and surveillance programs to monitor field behavior and detect potential production issues early.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred); Bachelor’s degree with significant industry experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas reservoir engineering.
  • Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (Schlumberger Petrel, Computer Modeling Group, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and reservoir rock physics.
  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data into actionable business insights.
