Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and water systems
- Perform site analysis, hydraulic modeling, and structural calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with TxDOT and FEMA regulations
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and government agencies during all project phases
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews for quality assurance
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating LEED and green infrastructure principles
- Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and permit documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of Texas transportation codes (TxDOT) and local permitting processes
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large-scale municipal projects
