Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for municipal infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Develop hydraulic and structural models using Auto Civil 3D and Revit for complex urban environments
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring compliance with TxDOT and FEMA regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with environmental consultants, architects, and contractors
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for large-scale developments
- Prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and permit applications
- Implement sustainable design practices including LEED certification and green infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated expertise in FEMA floodplain management and TxDOT standards
- Experience managing projects exceeding $10M in construction value
- Certification in LEED BD+C or sustainable infrastructure practices preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
