Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and municipal systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage cross-functional teams of engineers and technicians to ensure project milestones and quality standards
- Develop comprehensive project documentation including construction plans, cost estimates, and environmental impact assessments
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes
- Implement sustainable engineering practices and innovative materials to enhance project efficiency and environmental performance
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of departmental workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with 3+ years in project leadership roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas
- Expert proficiency in civil design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis tools
- Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $5 million
- Strong understanding of TxDOT standards and local municipal regulations
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with proven track record in complex infrastructure projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
