Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of large-scale transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Develop comprehensive stormwater management plans and hydraulic models for urban developments
- Coordinate with municipal agencies for regulatory compliance and permitting processes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of construction documentation
- Implement BIM/GIS technologies for project visualization and coordination
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical analysis for foundation design
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, CivilStorm, and GIS platforms
- Demonstrated experience with FEMA floodplain modeling
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards
- LEED AP certification highly desirable
- Proven track record of managing $10M+ infrastructure projects
