Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of transportation, water resources, and structural systems
- Lead project teams from conceptual planning through to construction completion
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA)
- Manage budgets, schedules, and client communications
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies
- Utilize BIM/CAD tools for precision modeling and documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and review technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
- Strong knowledge of Illinois DOT specifications
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ projects
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
