Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water management systems
- Perform detailed structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental specialists and construction managers
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards (TxDOT, FEMA)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using MS Project
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical assessments for foundation design
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews of technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit Structure, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure project lifecycle management
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT design standards and FEMA floodplain regulations
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar capital projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
