Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with local regulations (Illinois DOT, Chicago Building Codes)
- Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews for design documentation
- Develop sustainable engineering solutions that meet LEED certification standards
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and permitting documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- PE license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS) and geotechnical analysis
- Proven track record managing projects over $10M in value
- Strong knowledge of BIM technologies and construction management best practices
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Experience with public-private partnership (P3) project delivery models
