Responsibilities
- Design and oversee infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Lead project teams from conception to completion while adhering to budget and timeline constraints
- Conduct site investigations and analyze geotechnical data for structural integrity
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local engineering standards (TCEQ, FHWA)
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Implement sustainable design practices and emerging technologies (BIM, drone surveying)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record of managing complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and local permitting processes
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Excellent communication skills for client and stakeholder management
