Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of complex infrastructure systems including roads, bridges, and drainage networks
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams from conceptual planning through final construction phases
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local engineering standards (TxDOT, FEMA, etc.)
- Utilize BIM/CIM technologies for advanced 3D modeling and clash detection
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analyses, and feasibility studies
- Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in civil engineering with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated success managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and municipal permitting processes
- LEED AP or similar sustainability certification highly desirable
