Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and transit systems
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases from feasibility studies to final implementation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local engineering regulations and safety standards
- Develop innovative solutions for stormwater management and sustainable drainage systems
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using advanced BIM/CAD technologies
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and construction monitoring
- Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative project environments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- PE license required with 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record managing large-scale infrastructure projects ($10M+)
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT and Harris County engineering standards
- Experience with LEED certification and sustainable design principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to municipal boards
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent construction safety training
