Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and water systems
- Manage project lifecycle from conception through completion within budget and timeline constraints
- Perform complex structural analysis and geotechnical evaluations using industry-standard software
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including OSHA and ADA standards
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with architects, contractors, and government agencies
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure challenges using BIM technologies
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments throughout project phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and risk assessment
- Strong knowledge of local zoning codes and municipal permitting processes
- Experience leading teams of 5+ engineers and coordinating cross-functional projects
- LEED AP certification preferred
