Responsibilities
- Design and oversee structural systems for high-rise buildings and public infrastructure
- Lead site investigations and geotechnical analysis for urban development projects
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using Primavera P6
- Coordinate with NYC Department of Buildings and regulatory agencies for permits
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Develop sustainable design solutions targeting LEED Gold certification
- Prepare technical specifications, construction documents, and cost estimates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in structural design and construction management
- PE license in New York State (required)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro)
- Demonstrated success with large-scale NYC projects
- Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code and local regulations
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Certification in sustainable design practices (LEED AP) preferred
