Responsibilities
- Design and oversee infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, water systems, and structural frameworks
- Lead site investigations, feasibility studies, and compliance assessments
- Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental consultants, contractors)
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (TCEQ, FHWA)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Implement sustainable design practices and LEED certification strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM modeling
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ infrastructure projects
- Expertise in geotechnical analysis and structural design
- Strong knowledge of FEMA floodplain management and TCEQ permitting
- Experience with transportation corridor planning and traffic modeling
