Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site development, grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and storm water management systems.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
- Conduct comprehensive site investigations, feasibility studies, and prepare detailed engineering reports.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, contract documents, and permitting applications.
- Ensure all designs and project work comply with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas (or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and stormwater modeling tools.
- Demonstrated experience with land development, municipal infrastructure, and transportation projects.
- Strong understanding of local zoning ordinances, building codes, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Proven leadership capabilities and a track record of successfully managing project teams.
