Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design, analysis, and implementation of diverse civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and schedule.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Perform advanced engineering calculations, design layouts, and technical specifications for site development, drainage, utilities, and transportation systems.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals and resolve technical challenges.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff, fostering their professional growth and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months via reciprocity).
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or similar engineering design software.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to civil infrastructure projects in Texas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead project teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Solid experience in client interaction, proposal development, and presenting project solutions.
