Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering projects from conception through completion, including transportation, drainage, and structural design
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and construction monitoring to ensure quality standards
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies (TxDOT, FEMA, etc.)
- Review and approve technical submissions from consulting engineers
- Mentor junior staff and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with ADA, AASHTO, and local building codes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing complex transportation or water resource projects
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical analysis and foundation design principles
- Excellent project management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
