Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Coordinate with municipal authorities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical evaluations
- Prepare technical documentation including reports, specifications, and construction drawings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and civil design software
- Demonstrated experience with infrastructure resilience and sustainable design principles
- Strong project management skills with successful delivery of $10M+ projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with TxDOT and Harris County Public Works standards
