Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, transit systems, water treatment facilities)
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Coordinate with city planning departments and regulatory bodies for permit approvals
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews of technical documentation
- Develop sustainable engineering solutions that meet LEED certification requirements
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in infrastructure design
- PE license in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in transportation or water resources engineering
- Proficiency in BIM modeling and construction management software
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and ADA compliance
- Proven track record of managing projects over $10M
- Excellent communication skills with client-facing experience
