Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex civil engineering projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Lead site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and feasibility studies
- Develop detailed construction plans, cost estimates, and project schedules
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (TxDOT, FEMA) and sustainability standards
- Manage client relationships and coordinate with contractors, architects, and government agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and implement quality control protocols
- Research emerging technologies (BIM, GIS) to optimize project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- PE license required (Texas) with 8+ years of relevant experience
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing $10M+ infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of TxDOT standards and local permitting processes
- LEED AP certification highly desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with infrastructure resilience planning (flood mitigation, seismic design)
