Responsibilities
- Design and oversee complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, cost estimates, and construction documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies (TxDOT, Harris County)
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical challenges during construction phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of experience in transportation or water resources engineering
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and geotechnical analysis
- Experience with federal/state project delivery (NEPA, FTA, FEMA guidelines)
- Strong project management skills with demonstrated budget adherence
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
