Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex civil engineering projects from conception through completion.
- Conduct thorough site inspections and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with UK building regulations and safety standards.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, structural engineers, and surveyors, to integrate technical solutions.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, calculations, and tender documents for client presentations.
- Ensure all engineering practices adhere to environmental and sustainability guidelines.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and CAD technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in civil engineering, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional registration is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction codes (BS EN standards) and planning regulations.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to stakeholders.
