Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Manage project lifecycle from feasibility studies to final construction oversight
- Perform complex structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (TxDOT, FEMA) to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews
- Develop innovative solutions for geotechnical challenges and environmental sustainability
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE license required)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Expertise in transportation engineering, structural analysis, and hydrology
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM modeling and construction management software
- Strong understanding of Texas engineering codes and regulatory requirements
- Proven track record of managing projects over $5M in value
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
