Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and water systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with contractors, architects, and regulatory bodies
- Develop innovative sustainable solutions for stormwater management and green infrastructure
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with ADA, OSHA, and municipal building codes
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and project proposals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- PE licensure in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and construction management software
- Demonstrated experience with large-scale municipal infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical analysis and foundation design
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills
