Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, and public transit systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for concurrent initiatives
- Conduct site inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and foster collaborative problem-solving within multidisciplinary teams
- Develop sustainable design solutions meeting LEED certification standards
- Coordinate with municipal agencies for permits, approvals, and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation or structural engineering
- PE license in New York State (required)
- Expertise in NYC building codes, MTA guidelines, and local infrastructure standards
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM modeling and finite element analysis software
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $50M in value
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and public presentations
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
