Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including MRT expansions, coastal defense systems, and sustainable urban developments
- Conduct advanced structural analysis using BIM and finite element modeling to optimize material usage and structural integrity
- Oversee construction quality control, ensuring compliance with Singapore's Building Construction Authority (BCA) regulations and international standards
- Develop innovative solutions for geotechnical challenges in Singapore's unique soil conditions and high-density environment
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with architects, environmental consultants, and government agencies
- Implement sustainable engineering practices to achieve Green Mark Platinum certification for projects
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including tender documents, construction drawings, and progress reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's or PhD preferred
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure projects with at least 3 years in Singapore
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration with Singapore's Professional Engineers Board (PEB)
- Expertise in structural design, geotechnical engineering, and construction management methodologies
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Civil 3D) and finite element analysis tools
- Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in Singapore's regulatory environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Deep understanding of Singapore's building codes, URA guidelines, and sustainability requirements
