Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water management systems
- Conduct site investigations, soil analysis, and feasibility studies using advanced geospatial tools
- Oversee construction phases, ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations (TCEQ, FEMA)
- Develop cost-efficient solutions incorporating sustainable materials and green building practices
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects and environmental specialists
- Utilize BIM/CAD software (Auto Civil 3D, Revit) for precision modeling and clash detection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation or municipal infrastructure design
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS mapping, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing $10M+ projects with zero safety incidents
- Familiarity with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) standards and permitting processes
- Certification in LEED/Sustainable Infrastructure (e.g., Envision) highly desirable
