Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform detailed structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables for multi-million dollar contracts
- Coordinate with government agencies (TxDOT, Harris County) for permitting and compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design documentation
- Implement sustainable engineering practices and LEED certification strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in transportation/municipal design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) and geotechnical analysis software
- Demonstrated success leading projects with budgets exceeding $5M
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and local permitting requirements
- Experience with BIM/CIM implementation in large-scale infrastructure projects
