Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and transit systems
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for complex civil engineering projects
- Oversee project teams, ensuring compliance with local codes (Illinois DOT, Chicago Building Code) and safety standards
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable construction and environmental compliance
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of technical documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering with 3+ years in leadership roles
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record of managing projects over $10M in value
- Strong knowledge of LEED and sustainable design principles
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and client management skills
