Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and stormwater systems
- Perform advanced hydraulic modeling and geotechnical analysis using industry-standard software
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications with municipal agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with TxDOT and FEMA regulations
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating LEED and green infrastructure principles
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and contractors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Familiarity with Austin's development codes and permitting processes
- Strong leadership skills with experience directing cross-functional teams
