Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Oversee site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and feasibility studies
- Prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architects, environmental scientists, contractors)
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (TxDOT, FEMA, OSHA)
- Implement BIM/CIM technologies for project visualization and coordination
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record managing $10M+ transportation or water resources projects
- Strong knowledge of LEED and sustainable design principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to municipal boards
- FEMA certification or floodplain management experience preferred
