Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multi-million dollar contracts
- Coordinate with municipal agencies and stakeholders for permit approvals and regulatory compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality assurance reviews of technical documentation
- Develop innovative solutions for sustainable infrastructure challenges using BIM technology
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering with P.E. license required
- Proven expertise in transportation engineering and hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, SWMM)
- Familiarity with Chicago-area municipal codes (MOPCD, IDOT standards)
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and construction phase services
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
