Responsibilities
- Manage high-risk child welfare cases including investigation, assessment, and service coordination
- Develop and implement trauma-informed intervention plans for families experiencing domestic violence or substance abuse
- Collaborate with schools, courts, and healthcare providers to create integrated support systems
- Train social workers on cultural competency and evidence-based practices
- Analyze program data to identify systemic barriers and recommend policy improvements
- Provide expert testimony in custody hearings and permanency planning meetings
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from CSWE-accredited program
- Minimum 5 years direct child protection experience with documented case management success
- Licensure as LCSW in Illinois (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
- Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Advanced knowledge of ICWA and federal child welfare regulations
- Experience developing community partnerships and resource networks
- Proven ability to train professionals on cultural humility practices
