Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety plans for at-risk children and families
- Provide trauma-informed counseling and crisis intervention services
- Coordinate multidisciplinary case reviews with schools, healthcare providers, and law enforcement
- Train community organizations on child protection protocols and cultural sensitivity
- Advocate for policy improvements through legislative engagement and public awareness campaigns
- Mentor junior staff through reflective supervision and skill-building workshops
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required
- 5+ years of direct child protection experience in urban settings
- Valid NY State LMSW/LCSW license
- Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Expertise in mandated reporting protocols and legal frameworks
- Proven ability to collaborate across diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Advanced data analysis skills for outcome measurement and program evaluation
