Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
- Interpret diagnostic tests including EKG, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests to inform clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to manage pre- and post-operative care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and departmental quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with cardiac focus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in cardiology or critical care.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac pharmacology.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to function effectively in a high-pressure environment.
