Responsibilities
- Perform a high volume of complex adult cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and aortic procedures.
- Provide strategic leadership and clinical mentorship to a dedicated team of cardiothoracic surgeons, residents, and nursing staff.
- Oversee patient pre-operative assessment and post-operative critical care management.
- Participate in departmental research initiatives and clinical trials to advance cardiovascular science.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology to develop hybrid surgical approaches and protocols.
- Maintain high standards of surgical safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of post-residency experience in a high-volume academic or private hospital setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in minimally invasive cardiac surgical techniques.
- Strong leadership background with a proven track record of departmental management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster collaborative, cross-functional clinical environments.
