Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced automated pipelines for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of biologists and chemists to interpret high-dimensional multi-omics datasets.
- Develop custom algorithms and machine learning models to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
- Maintain and optimize cloud-based genomic databases (AWS/GCP) to ensure high availability and data integrity.
- Lead the statistical validation of experimental results for peer-reviewed publications and patent filings.
- Mentor junior computational biologists and contribute to the strategic roadmap of the informatics department.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a professional biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
- Expert-level proficiency in Python, R, and Bash scripting.
- Demonstrated experience with workflow management tools like Snakemake, Nextflow, or Cromwell.
- Strong background in statistical modeling, population genetics, and transcriptomics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable biological insights.
