Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure the company remains compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations; assist external auditors during annual audits.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for automation and efficiency within the accounting workflows to reduce manual errors.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree (MBA) or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting and general ledger management.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to detect errors and ensure data integrity across all financial documents.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: Strong ethical standards and a high level of professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
