Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize general ledger operations, ensuring accurate monthly/quarterly closes
- Prepare complex financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow)
- Lead internal and external audit processes with major financial institutions
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls to mitigate risks
- Analyze budget variances and provide actionable financial insights
- Implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and ensure team compliance with regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial services
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling
- Proven ability to manage complex audits and regulatory reporting
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
