Responsibilities
- Lead Month-End Close: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely closing of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Financial Analysis: Prepare variance analysis and detailed reports to support executive leadership in strategic planning.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and intercompany transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to GAAP and internal control policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary liaison during external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data entry and financial analysis.
