Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the daily operations of the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist external auditors during annual audits and ensure internal control policies are strictly followed.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct in-depth variance analysis and cost accounting to help management optimize budget allocations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Tax Preparation: Support the tax department in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement automated solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial regulations.
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
