Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices are processed correctly and payments are made on schedule.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
