Responsibilities
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare complex financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Manage general ledger activities and perform detailed account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with external audits and internal controls implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure tax compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
