Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Compliance & Tax: Assist in tax preparation and ensure all regulatory compliance requirements are met.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the financial services or corporate sector is a plus.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
